Here are the key aspects of packaging machinery maintenance: cleaning, tightening, adjusting, lubricating, and corrosion prevention. During routine production, each machine maintenance technician should follow the equipment’s maintenance manual and procedures, diligently performing all scheduled tasks within the specified intervals. This helps reduce wear on components, eliminate potential failure risks, and ultimately extend the machine’s operational lifespan.
Maintenance is categorized into: routine maintenance, periodic maintenance (which includes Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 maintenance), and special maintenance (such as seasonal maintenance and standby maintenance).
I. Routine Maintenance
Focus on cleaning, lubrication, inspection, and tightening—perform routine maintenance as required both during and after machine operation.
First-level maintenance builds upon routine upkeep, with key tasks focusing on lubrication, tightening, and inspecting all relevant components, as well as performing thorough cleaning.
Secondary maintenance focuses on inspection and adjustment, specifically checking the engine, clutch, transmission, drivetrain components, steering system, and braking mechanisms.
The focus of third-level maintenance is to inspect, adjust, and eliminate potential faults, as well as balance the wear levels of all components. It involves diagnosing and assessing critical areas that affect equipment performance, as well as parts showing early signs of malfunction, followed by performing necessary replacements, adjustments, and troubleshooting tasks.
II. Seasonal Maintenance
It refers to the fact that packaging equipment should undergo thorough inspection and maintenance—particularly of components such as the fuel-lubrication system, hydraulic system, cooling system, and starting system—every year before summer and winter begins.
3. Shutdown and Maintenance
It refers to performing tasks such as cleaning, refurbishment, maintenance, and anti-corrosion measures when packaging equipment needs to be idle for a period due to seasonal factors (such as winter shutdowns).
